This half day course is for those with ambitions towards mastering this craft, it will give you all the information you need to get started with throwing on the potter’s wheel. The session begins with some background information on the material you will be using-Clay.

You will be shown how to reconstitute previously used clay, how to prepare and wedge your clay and the types of clay to use on the wheel.

You will be given a step by step demonstration before being guided through making your own pots. After practice throwing pots you will be shown the turning process and then you will have the opportunity to have a go at turning a pre prepared pot yourself.
